Car Meet at the Six Bells Pub, Warborough

Nice little gathering at the Six Bells this week such a lovely location for a meet.

Benson Vintage Bicycle Ride

Last sunday a great event happened in the village of Benson South Oxfordshire, around 250 vintage/vetran bicyles took to the roads for a 13 mile bicycle ride, here are some of my pictures of the ride enjoy.

Disaster!

While out on the Herc on Sunday evening minding my own business a sharp bump was followed with a snap! the leather saddle snapped at the front! then on the way back the mudguard rattled loose then the rear hub ran tight. All in all not the best bike ride I've been on. Investigation and repairs are under way.

Tonight is the car meet at the Fox pub Steventon south oxfordshire all welcome cars usually arrive around 7pm ish till dark, a great night and if the weather is good (fingers crossed) there is usually a good turn out of cars. I don't think I am gonna make it as I am off to a birthday do but might be able to swing by later hopefully.

Third Thursday Tonight.

Those of you who are free this evening it is the third Thursday car meet at the George pub in Dorchester on Thames. It is a great excuse for a beer and a chat if nothing else, however there is usually a good turn out of different cars. All are welcome it is really informal so come along for 7:30pm ish, also the car park is pretty large so no probs parking.

The Hercules

A quick pic of my 1945 Hercules bicycle now back on the road. (My better half demonstrating in picture) Further fine ajustments are needed to the gearing apart from that it rides like a dream! I will upload some more detailed shots soon.

I am alive

Hello all

I am now getting a bit more sorted in my new house so hopefully more blogs will follow.
This friday I am hoping to get the Hercules bicycle back together and on the road I will keep you posted!
