It's kind of finished and now it's legal!

Well we started in April and got it ready for MOT in December, what am I babbling about? the Land Rover! It is now back on the road and legal to boot, but it hasn't been all plain sailing we took the beast along for MOT the day before Christmas Eve and the keen eyed tester found a weak spot in the chassis near a rear spring hanger, 'what' we said, unbelievable seeing as that very morning we did some welding on the chassis to get the bloody Landy ready for the MOT and now it needs more welding arghhhh. So although we had to run off with our tail between our legs knowing that our 'get it on the road by the end of the year' plan had been slightly scuppered we were not totally disappointed because at least we only had one thing to do to sure up the old girl to get her back terrorising other road users unlike when Mark brought the Landy and it came with a full A4 MOT advisory sheet that would make the hardiest of classic owners weep into their engine oil. So just before New Year our top welding buddy (my dad) came over worked his magic then after the New Year we went back to the test center and hooray smiles all round the Landy passed! Now bring on the snow.
There are a few jobs still to do including a bit more painting but that will now wait till the spring, our most recent problem was that the bastard wouldn't start investigation led us to ordering a new coil thinking the old one had given up the ghost when in reality it turned out to be a dodgy connection! Now it's all sorted and the beast rides again.
